Purpose?of?your?role
The?role?covers?small?projects?to?help?develop?the?strategy,?infrastructure,?engineering?and?operational?environment?for?the?Virtualisation?Core?Platform?as?well?as?BAU?functions.??The?Virtualisation?infrastructure?provides?virtual?compute?based?resource?used?to?host?mission?critical?systems?and?desktop?services?for?over?5000+?systems.
The?individual?will?be?expected?to?be?structured,?process?oriented?and?happy?working?to?tough?deadlines?in?a?demanding?environment.
He/she?will?need?to?work?together?and?collaborate?within?global?team,?comply?with?company?standard?and?support?solutions?to?complex?technical?issues.

Key?Responsibilities

? Maintain?the?health?status?of?all?infrastructure?components?required?to?support?the?virtual?platform
? Build?and?enhance?Virtual?infrastructure?components?to?provide?a?cost-effective?solution
? Security?and?patch?management?of?the?VMware?components?and?related?support?tools
? Provide?day?to?day?technical?support
? Proactive?capacity?management?of?the?VM?platform
? Maintain?and?develop?relationships?with?the?platform?teams,?and?service?providers?to?the?VM?platform
? Monitor?issues?and?provide?management?reports?on?incidents?and?problem?management
? Ensure?all?activities?are?compliant?with?security?and?regulatory?requirements
? Provide?out?of?hours?support?for?the?Virtual?Infrastructure
? Responsible?for?Virtualization?Technology?Design/Engineering/Testing/Configuration.
? Support?of?global/regional/local?project?management?and?system?implementations
? Software?and?hardware?maintenance,?procurement?and?installation
? Engineer?virtualization?solutions?for?automation,??orchestration?(?on-premises?and?multi?cloud?)
? Handle?24*7?on-call?standby?support?if?necessary
Experience?and?Qualifications?Required

? Excellent?“hands?on”?working?knowledge?of?VMware?technologies,?Inc.?VMware?vSphere?5.x,?6.x?and?vCenter.
? Experienced?in?managing?multi-host?enterprise?class?Virtual?infrastructure?using?VMware?technologies?including?HA?clusters,?DRS,?storage?and?network?subsystems
